Marlies Rikken is a researcher and project manager specialising in personal data and digital identities. In the past 7 years she has conducted studies for multiple public and private organisations in the Netherlands, from dedicated user research to strategic analysis of the personal data ecosystem. She has helped build the knowledge base on personal data both internationally and in the Netherlands. Marlies is currently a member of the board of directors for MyData Global.

Sven’s professional career focuses on digital governance, multi-disciplinary interoperability, and open innovation. The underlying interests are threefold; they include (i) research on the co-creation for social benefit and the evolution of public services, (ii) policy, especially the European Commission priority 'A Europe fit for the Digital Age'; and (iii) technology related to Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things.
Since September 2013, Sven is working as a scientific officer for JRC, where he was already employed for three years as a post-doc (2009-2012) and six months as an intern (2005). Before re-joining the JRC, he worked at the European Environment Agency (EEA) as project manager for the Shared Environmental Information System (SEIS). In his early career, Sven spent ten years with the Institute for Geoinformatics (IfGI) of the University of Muenster - where he completed his diploma and PhD studies (in 2004 and 2009, respectively). He co-authored more than 150 publications in the fields of semantic interoperability, citizen science and next-generation knowledge infrastructures.
